Skip the blank canvas

Designing a stamp from scratch is fine — about a third of the time you know exactly what you want and a blank editor is faster. The other two-thirds of the time, you're staring at an empty round shape thinking "wait, how does company-seal text usually go again?"

That's what this page is for. Every template here is a starting point: layout, font, border, and structure already in place — you just swap in your details. Open the one closest to what you need, customise it, download a clean transparent PNG, SVG, or PDF. Total time, even less than the Stamp Maker from blank.

Same rules as the rest of ToolBody: completely free, no account, no watermark, no premium tier hiding behind the "use template" button.

🔵 Round stamp templates

Browse round stamp templates →

Classic circular stamps and seals. Curved text on top and bottom arcs, central text or logo in the middle, adjustable ring borders. The most-used stamp shape in business documents — and the layout that's hardest to do from a blank canvas (curved text trips up most general design tools). Includes designs sized for both digital use and physical rubber-stamp production.

Best for: company seals, official document stamps, brand stamps, certifying marks.

🏢 Company seal templates

Browse company seal templates →

A focused subset of round stamps designed around the standard company-seal layout: legal name on the top arc, registration or trade-licence number on the bottom arc, entity type or city in the centre. Layouts cover the conventions used in most jurisdictions — LLC, LTD, PVT LTD, FZE, SDN BHD, and similar.

Best for: new company registrations, official correspondence, contracts, bank documents, government paperwork.

✅ Office & approval stamp templates

Browse office stamp templates →

The everyday workflow stamps every office actually uses: "APPROVED", "PAID", "RECEIVED", "COPY", "ORIGINAL", "DRAFT", "URGENT", "CONFIDENTIAL", "VOID". Mostly rectangular and oval, mostly bold, mostly red — though you can change colours, borders, and text in the editor.

Best for: internal document processing, invoice marking, archive sorting, accounts-payable workflows.

🎓 School stamp templates

Browse school stamp templates →

School-specific stamps: library stamps ("Library — School Name"), grading stamps ("Excellent", "Checked", "Well Done", "See Me"), office stamps, attendance marks. Designed for school administrators and teachers who need quick standardised marks for routine paperwork.

Best for: schools, libraries, tuition centres, and education-adjacent organisations.

📅 Date stamp templates

Browse date stamp templates →

Rectangular and oval date stamps with a date field in the middle. Useful for marking when a document was received, processed, or filed. Customise the date format (DD/MM/YYYY, MM/DD/YYYY, written-out date) and the surrounding text ("Received On", "Processed", "Filed").

Best for: mail rooms, accounts departments, document archives, records management.

✏️ Custom & blank templates

Browse custom stamp templates →

Starting points that are less prescriptive — minimal layouts you can build on, or stamps with unusual shapes (hexagonal, scalloped edges, bracketed text) that don't fit the standard categories. Pair with the blank-canvas option in the Stamp Maker if you want zero starting structure.

Best for: non-standard stamp needs, brand-specific designs, creative or personal stamps.

How templates work (the three-step version)

Same flow as the Stamp Maker from blank, just with the design 80% pre-built for you.

Step 1 — Pick a template

Click any thumbnail. The template opens directly in the Stamp Maker editor with all the design elements (shape, border, fonts, layout) already in place.

Step 2 — Customise it

Change the text to your own. Replace placeholder names ("Your Company Name", "REGISTRATION NUMBER") with your actual details. Adjust fonts and colours if you want — most templates work as-is, but the editor is fully unlocked, so change anything.

If the template has a logo placeholder, upload your own logo. If it doesn't, you can add one anyway — the editor allows logo upload on every template.

Step 3 — Download

Click download. Pick your format: PNG (transparent background, best for digital documents), SVG (vector, best for resizing and physical printing), or PDF (best for PDF document insertion). The file saves to your device — no watermark, no sign-up, no account creation.

That's it. Whole process, even with a few customisation rounds, takes about a minute.

Why use a template instead of starting from blank?

Both are free, both produce the same final output, and both take roughly the same time once you know what you want. But templates win in three specific cases:

When you're not sure what the stamp should look like

"I need a company stamp" is a real instruction, but it doesn't tell you what curved text should say, what border looks formal, or what the central text usually is. Templates show you what "normal" looks like for your category — once you've seen three or four company seals laid out properly, designing your own is much easier.

When you need consistency across multiple stamps

If you're making a "PAID" stamp, an "APPROVED" stamp, and a "RECEIVED" stamp for the same office, using templates from the same category gives you a consistent visual language. Three random custom designs look like three random custom designs. Three templates from the same set look like a coordinated office system.

When you need to do this fast

Sometimes the goal isn't a perfectly bespoke design — it's "I need a passable stamp on this document by lunch." Templates get you there.

Starting from blank still makes sense when you have a strong design vision, when you're building something that doesn't fit any category, or when you're enjoying the design process. Templates are the optimisation for everyone else.

What you can change in any template

Every element in a template is editable. Not "you can change the text but the border is locked." Everything is unlocked:

  • Text — replace placeholder text with your own. Add or remove text blocks.

  • Fonts — switch from serif to sans-serif, change weight, adjust size.

  • Colours — change ink colour, border colour, background tint (if any).

  • Border style — thicker, thinner, double-ringed, dotted, removed.

  • Shape — switch a round stamp to oval, or a rectangle to a rounded rectangle.

  • Layout — move text positions, rotate elements, reorder layers.

  • Logo — upload your own image, drop it onto the design, resize and position.

The template is a starting point, not a constraint. If you end up changing 95% of the original design, that's fine — the template still saved you the first 60 seconds of figuring out where things should go.

Common use-cases by template category

A short matched-pairs version, since people land on this page with a job to do, not a design vision.

You're setting up a new business. Start with company seal templates. Pick the one closest to your jurisdiction's conventions (LLC, LTD, etc.), add your legal name and registration number, download as both PNG (for digital documents) and SVG (so you can have a physical rubber stamp made later if you need one).

You run an office and need to mark documents. Start with office & approval stamp templates. Build a small set — APPROVED, PAID, RECEIVED, COPY — once. Keep the PNG files somewhere everyone in the office can access them. Use them on PDFs, scans, and printed paperwork from then on.

You're a teacher or school admin. Start with school stamp templates. The grading stamps ("Excellent", "Well Done", "See Me") and library stamps cover most routine needs. Date stamps work for attendance records.

You're a freelancer or small business owner. Start with round stamp templates for a brand or business-name stamp, and office templates for a "PAID" stamp you can put on invoices in the Invoice Maker.

You have something specific in mind. Start with custom templates or open the blank Stamp Maker and design from scratch.

How template downloads compare to other "free template" sites

There are other free stamp template sites. The honest differences come down to a few specific things most of them get wrong:

  • They're static images, not editable templates. Many "free stamp template" sites are just PNG files for download — you can use the file, but you can't change the company name or text. ToolBody templates open in the editor, fully unlocked.

  • They're Photoshop or Illustrator files. Some "free" templates need PSD or AI editing — meaning you need design software you might not own. ToolBody templates need only a browser.

  • They watermark the free downloads. Some template sites use the "free preview" model — design unlocked, watermarked. Hit a paywall for the clean version. ToolBody templates download clean.

  • They require an account to download. Sign up with an email, verify your inbox, then download. ToolBody templates download with a click.

  • They mix free and paid templates without clear labelling. Browse "free templates", click one, find out it costs $4.99. Everything on ToolBody is free.

If you're comparing template sources, those are the points to check.

A note on physical rubber stamps

A lot of people designing a stamp template are eventually going to want a real physical rubber stamp produced from the design. Two things to know:

  • The SVG export is print-shop friendly. SVG is a vector format that scales to any size without losing quality. Send the SVG to a rubber-stamp manufacturer, give them your size in millimetres, and they can produce a physical stamp from the file.

  • The PNG is digital-only. PNGs are pixel-based, which is fine for documents on screen but doesn't scale well for physical production at unusual sizes. If you're going physical, use SVG.

ToolBody doesn't sell physical stamps. We're a digital design tool. But the templates here are designed with both digital and physical use in mind, so the file you download works either way.

Works with the rest of ToolBody

Templates from this page open in the Stamp Maker editor, so all the same controls apply. Once you've customised your stamp, you can:

  • Drop it directly onto an invoice in the Invoice Maker — there's a stamp upload field built into the invoice editor.

  • Use it on PDFs, Word documents, Google Docs, or any other digital paperwork.

  • Send the SVG to a print shop for a physical rubber stamp.

Browse templates, customise one, build a small library of go-to stamps for your business or office — one round seal, one PAID stamp, one company name stamp — and you're set for most everyday document needs. Open the Stamp Maker (blank canvas)   Open the Invoice Maker   Open the Signature Maker
