Round Stamp Maker — Design Circular Stamps & Seals Free

Free, browser-based, no sign-up. Curved text on both arcs, customisable ring borders, logo upload — and a transparent PNG download with no watermark.

No round templates yet.

You can still design one from scratch, or start from another category.

The round stamp problem (and why this page exists)

Round stamps are the hardest shape to design from scratch. A square or rectangle is easy — you type text, you draw a box, you're done. A round stamp needs curved text running along the top arc, more curved text running along the bottom arc, and usually a centred element in between. Most general design tools either don't support real curved text or hide it three menus deep.

So people end up paying for a Photoshop file, struggling with a generic design tool, or finding a "free round stamp maker" that watermarks the download and charges to remove it.

This page does the curved-text part by default. Pick a template, change the words, download a clean transparent PNG. No watermark, no daily limit, no sign-up, no premium tier hiding behind any button.

Round company seals

Classic curved-text layout — legal company name on the top arc, registration number on the bottom arc, entity type in the centre. The most-used round stamp format in business documents.

Double-ring formal seals

Two concentric circles with text positioned in the ring between them. More formal than single-ring designs. Common in certifications and formal organisation seals.

Brand & business name round stamps

Brand-led rather than legal-entity-led — logo in the centre, brand name on the arc, optional tagline below. Often single-ring for a cleaner, more modern look.

Round workflow stamps

"APPROVED", "PAID", "RECEIVED" rendered as round stamps rather than the typical rectangle. Useful when workflow stamps need to coexist with formal round company seals on the same documents.

Round date stamps

Round stamps with a date field in the centre and surrounding text like "Received On", "Filed On", or "Processed". Less common than rectangular date stamps but used in formal records.

Decorative round stamps

Laurel branches, ribbons, certificate-style ornamental borders. Used when the stamp is part of the document's visual design rather than a mark on top.

Curved text — the part nobody else does properly

Curved text is the defining feature of any round stamp. Every template here handles it as a first-class feature, not a hack.

Top arc text reads left-to-right along the upper curve of the circle, with the letters rotated to follow the ring. Standard placement for: legal business names, brand names, primary identifying text.

Bottom arc text reads left-to-right along the lower curve — and importantly, it reads along the bottom, not upside down. Standard placement for: registration numbers, trade licence numbers, addresses, jurisdiction names.

Letter spacing on curved text matters more than on straight text. Tight letter spacing reads cleanly at large sizes but turns mushy on small physical stamps. Loose spacing reads formal but eats the available arc length. The editor lets you adjust this — for most round company seals, slightly wider-than-normal spacing reads best.

Capitals vs mixed case — most formal round seals use all-caps for the curved text. It reads cleaner along the curve and feels more official. Mixed case works for brand stamps where you want a softer, less corporate feel.

If curved text is the only feature you needed and everything else is bonus — you're in the right place. That's what this page is built around.

Ring borders — the design choice that quietly sets the tone

The outer ring of a round stamp does more work than people give it credit for. Three main styles:

Single thick ring. One bold outer circle around the stamp content. Reads as modern and clean. Used for most brand stamps and casual business stamps.

Double ring. Two concentric circles with the curved text positioned in the ring between them. Reads as formal and official. Used for company seals, certification stamps, and anything where you want a slightly old-school authority feel.

Dotted or dashed ring. Less common, used for decorative or stylistic effect. Reads as creative or informal — good for design-led brand stamps, rarely right for company seals.

No ring. The stamp content stands alone without an outer boundary. Reads as the most modern option, but can look unfinished if the central text doesn't carry the design on its own.

A round stamp can use all four. You can also switch between them in the editor — every template's ring style is editable, so pick the closest match and adjust.

Standard round stamp sizes (millimetres)

Sizing only matters when you're producing a physical rubber stamp. For digital documents, the export resolution is high enough that the actual mm size is irrelevant — you resize after inserting.

For physical stamps, the conventions are:

  • Small personal stamps: 25–32 mm diameter. Used for signatures, monograms, small library stamps.

  • Standard business stamps: 38–42 mm diameter. The default for company seals, brand stamps, most office workflow round stamps. If you're not sure what size to pick, this is the right answer.

  • Large formal seals: 45–50 mm diameter. Used for certificates, formal documents, larger letterheads.

  • Oversized stamps: 55+ mm. Rare. Mostly used for awards, ceremonial documents, or where the stamp itself is the visual focus.

When ordering from a rubber-stamp manufacturer, specify the diameter in millimetres alongside your SVG file. The vector file scales to any size without losing quality.

Editor deep-links

Every template here opens directly in the Stamp Maker editor with the design pre-loaded. That means:

  • No "download template, then open in something else" round trip.

  • All editor controls (fonts, colours, borders, logo upload, text positioning) work immediately on the template.

  • Switching between templates doesn't lose your current work in the editor — you can experiment with several before committing.

If none of the templates fit and you'd rather start with no preset structure at all, open the Stamp Maker from blank.

How to use a round stamp template

Step 1 — Pick a template

Open the Stamp Maker and start from a blank canvas. The template opens in the editor with the round geometry, curved-text layout, and design already in place.

Step 2 — Replace placeholder text

The template has placeholder text where your own copy should go ("YOUR COMPANY NAME", "REGISTRATION NUMBER", "LLC"). Click each text element and type your own. Length matters — long names need either abbreviation or smaller font sizes to fit on the arc.

Step 3 — Adjust the design (optional)

Change fonts, swap colours, adjust the ring border weight, add a logo to the centre. Everything is unlocked — the template is a starting point, not a constraint.

Step 4 — Download

Pick the format:

  • PNG with transparent background — for digital documents (Word, PDF, Google Docs, email)

  • SVG vector format — for resizing without quality loss, or for sending to a rubber-stamp manufacturer

  • PDF — for direct insertion into PDF documents

No watermark, no sign-up, no payment, no daily limit.

Why use this rather than the alternatives

The usual alternatives each have a catch:

  • A Photoshop PSD file for sale on a marketplace — useless without Photoshop, costs money to download, only a handful of reviews.

  • A premium-gated round stamp tool on a major utility-tool network — you can design for free, but downloading anything but a small preview requires a paid upgrade.

  • General-purpose design platforms that technically allow round stamps but treat curved text as an awkward bolted-on feature.

  • Physical rubber-stamp e-commerce shops competing for the same query with different intent — they want a £40 order, not to design something free.

What's missing from that list: a genuinely free, focused, browser-based round-stamp tool with proper curved-text support and clean transparent-PNG downloads. That's this page.

Oval and rectangular stamps

This page is round-only. If a circle is not the right shape, both alternatives have templates of their own: oval stamp templates for monogram-style and traditional business seals, where the wider arc suits a long legal name, and rectangular stamp templates for workflow marks like "APPROVED" or "PAID". You can also start from a blank canvas in the main Stamp Maker.

Works with the rest of ToolBody

  • Add the round stamp to an invoice. Design a company seal here, download as PNG, upload into the stamp field of the Invoice Maker.

  • Add the round stamp to PDF documents. Use any PDF editor's "Insert Image" — the transparent background means the stamp sits cleanly with no white box.

  • Pair with a signature. Use the Signature Maker for a transparent-PNG signature, place both on the same document.

  • Start from blank. Open the Stamp Maker directly.

  • Browse other stamp categories. Go back to stamp templates for office stamps, school stamps, and more.

Template FAQs

Yes. Every round stamp template is free to use, customise, and download. There's no premium tier, no watermark on the download, and no daily limit.

Yes. Curved text is the defining feature of a round stamp. Every template supports curved text on both the top arc and the bottom arc simultaneously, with adjustable letter spacing.

For physical rubber stamps: small personal stamps are typically 25–32 mm in diameter, standard business stamps 38–42 mm, and large formal seals 45–50 mm. For digital documents the pixel size matters less since you can resize the image after inserting it.

Yes. Download the design as SVG. SVG is a vector format that scales without losing quality, so a rubber-stamp manufacturer can produce a physical stamp from it at any millimetre size you specify.

Yes. Every PNG export has a fully transparent background by default. The round stamp drops cleanly on any document with no white box around it.

Round templates are live on this page. Oval and rectangular stamp template categories are being added soon. In the meantime, the main [Stamp Maker](/stamp-maker-online-free) tool supports oval and rectangular shapes from a blank canvas.
