Custom Stamp Maker — Design Unique Stamps in Any Shape

For stamps that don't fit the standard round, rectangular, or oval shapes — hexagonal, scalloped, ribbon, badge, ornamental, brand-led. Or start from a fully blank canvas and design anything.

No custom templates yet.

You can still design one from scratch, or start from another category.

For stamps that don't fit the standard round, rectangular, or oval shapes — hexagonal, scalloped, ribbon, badge, ornamental, brand-led. Or start from a fully blank canvas and design anything.

Where "custom" actually starts

Most stamps fit cleanly into a category. A company seal is round. A "PAID" stamp is rectangular. A library stamp is small and bordered. Those have their own pages on this site, and if your stamp fits one of those categories — start there.

This page is for the stamps that don't fit. A hexagonal brand mark with a logo in the centre. A scalloped-edge stamp for handmade product labels. A ribbon-banner award stamp for certificates. A multi-language custom seal that doesn't follow any standard regional convention. The decorative laurel-bordered stamp on a vintage-style invoice.

It's also the page for anyone who wants to start from a less prescriptive layout — minimal templates with just a shape and a single text element, ready to be built up from there. Or to skip templates entirely and use the blank Stamp Maker.

Hexagonal and polygon stamps

Six-sided and eight-sided stamps with text centred inside and the edge providing the frame. Used for: brand stamps, certification marks, technical or industrial company seals (the hexagonal shape is sometimes used in engineering and tech contexts for visual distinction).

Scalloped-edge stamps

Round or oval stamps with a wavy or pointed-curve outer edge. Used for: artisan brand stamps, handmade product labels, decorative certifications, vintage-styled seals. The scalloped edge reads as more decorative than a plain ring.

Ribbon and banner stamps

Long horizontal designs with text on a stylised banner — like a "BEST IN SHOW" award ribbon shape. Used for: award stamps, certification banners, "FEATURED" or "WINNER" marks, document badges.

Badge and shield stamps

Heraldic-shield shapes, vertical badge layouts, "crest" style stamps. Used for: brand identity stamps, club or association seals, school crests (though for formal schools, the school stamps page has dedicated layouts).

Decorative and ornamental stamps

Heavy decorative elements — laurel branches, scrolls, ornamental borders, certificate-style flourishes. Used for: certificates, awards, formal invitations, decorative documents where the stamp is part of the visual design rather than a mark on top of plain text.

Brand stamps (logo-centric custom designs)

Stamps built around a brand logo rather than text. The logo sits centrally, with minimal surrounding text — sometimes just a tagline or a website. Used for: small business branding, artisan product marking, signature stamps that match a visual identity.

Minimal starter templates

Single shapes with one or two text elements — the bare minimum to build from. Used by people who know what they want but want a small head start over a completely blank canvas.

Or start from a fully blank canvas

The templates above all have some starting structure — a shape, a layout suggestion, a placeholder text. If you want even less, open the Stamp Maker directly. Blank canvas, no preset, you build everything from zero.

When to use the blank canvas instead of a template:

  • You have a clear visual idea and don't want to mentally fight against an existing layout
  • You're building something that doesn't resemble any standard stamp at all
  • You're designing for an unusual use case where every element should be deliberate

When to use a template instead:

  • You're not sure where to start
  • You want a head start on basic geometry and proportions
  • You're producing several similar stamps and want them to share a consistent design language

Both work. Both are free. Both produce the same kind of clean transparent PNG, SVG, or PDF output.

Custom stamps for physical rubber stamp production

This is where a custom stamp is genuinely the right answer. Most of what you find online is split awkwardly between digital design tools (that ignore physical production) and rubber-stamp e-commerce shops (that want a £40 order before you've even chosen a design).

ToolBody's custom stamp maker works for both:

For physical rubber stamp production

  • Design your stamp here, starting from a blank canvas
  • Export as SVG — a vector format that scales to any size without losing quality
  • Send the SVG to any rubber-stamp manufacturer or local print shop along with your size specification in millimetres
  • The print shop produces a physical rubber stamp matching your digital design exactly

We don't sell physical stamps. We don't take a cut from the print shop. The SVG file is yours, the manufacturer is your choice, the price is between you and them. The whole point is to remove the design step from the "ordering a custom rubber stamp" workflow.

For digital use

The same design works as a transparent PNG dropped onto:

  • Brand documents and letterheads
  • Product packaging mockups
  • Online certificates and awards
  • Digital signatures on PDFs

Same file, two use cases. The SVG is print-shop ready; the PNG is digital-document ready.

How to design a custom stamp

Step 1 — Pick a starting point (or skip to blank)

Open the blank Stamp Maker. Click anything close to what you want. If nothing fits, open the Stamp Maker directly with no template.

Step 2 — Design

Type your text. Upload a logo. Choose fonts that match the personality you want — formal serif for traditional designs, geometric sans-serif for modern ones, handwritten styles for artisan/creative stamps. Change colours. Adjust borders, swap shapes, resize elements.

The editor doesn't lock anything — every element on every template is editable. Most "custom" stamps end up looking quite different from where they started, and that's the right outcome.

Step 3 — Download

Pick the format based on what you'll do with the stamp:

  • PNG — for digital documents, web use, transparent placement on any background
  • SVG — for physical rubber stamp production or any future resizing without quality loss
  • PDF — for direct PDF insertion when the receiving tool prefers PDF

All three formats are free, all three have no watermarks, all three are exported at high enough resolution to use confidently.

Multi-script and multi-language custom stamps

If your stamp needs text in a language other than English — or a combination of languages — the editor supports this directly. Common scenarios:

  • Arabic + English for the UAE, GCC, and wider MENA region
  • Chinese + English for businesses operating across markets
  • Devanagari (Hindi) + English for Indian businesses
  • Cyrillic + English for Russian-speaking markets
  • Japanese, Korean, Thai, Hebrew and other scripts

Right-to-left scripts are handled correctly — the editor knows that Arabic and Hebrew text flows right-to-left and adjusts curved-text rendering accordingly. Mixed-direction stamps (English curved text on one arc, Arabic on the other) work without any manual tweaking.

Custom stamps for specific industries

A few use cases that come up in the "custom" category and don't fit neatly elsewhere:

  • Artisan and handmade product stamps. Used for marking handmade soap, candles, ceramics, baked goods, leather goods — usually scalloped or ornamental designs.
  • Photography and creative business stamps. Used as a brand mark on photo prints, watermarks, portfolio packaging.
  • Restaurant and food-service stamps. Used on takeaway packaging, loyalty cards, branded napkins or coasters.
  • Event and conference stamps. Used on attendee badges, certificates of completion, event-specific commemorative marks.
  • Personal monogram stamps. Used on personal stationery, custom invitations, gift packaging.

All of these are too specific to deserve their own template category, but they all benefit from the design flexibility this page offers.
